Handmade Jewellery Box - Kashmiri Handicraft
This Kashmiri handcrafted box has a base colour of greyish
blue with golden coloured floral patterns giving it a very ethnic and royal

The Papier Mache technique of using paper pulp for making decorative items was adopted in Kashmir in 15th century by King Zain-ul-Abidin. It is a Persian art which was renamed to Pepier Mache in Kashmir.
Paper Mache is an exquisite craft of Kashmir and the artisans
who are involved in this meticulous process are called as Sakhta. This process takes
around 2 months i.e. from making to finally decorating it with intricate designs.
