Talking about Paper Mache – It was originated in
Persia and bought to Kashmir by the king
of Kashmir and later it was adopted by the local artisans who started making
different kinds of products with this craft. Paper
Mache involves two main steps: Sakhtsazi
i.e. the actual production of a product and Naqashi i.e. when the product is painted with number of motifs
like flowers, chinar leaves, birds and more.
